About
I come from a small village in Southern India which is part of Kerala, also known as "God's own country". I did part of my primary schooling in Muscat, Oman, and the rest in Kerala. Even though my basic interest was in biology, after school I joined college to do a Bachelor's in Physics. Later on, I did a Master's in Applied Electronics where I found Signal Processing to be very fascinating. I completed my Ph.D. in Machine learning in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Ninan Sajeeth Philip.
After spending 8 years in academia at various institutes like Caltech, the African Institute for Mathematical Science, and the Square Kilometer Array, I had my first stint in the industry with Persistent Systems, Pune. At present, I lead the R&D for video analytics at DeepAlert Ltd. UK.
As a person, I love trying new cuisines and hiking. Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my kids, wife, and parents.
